A stranger handed Rick Springfield a cassette of this song in a public bathroom at the premier of Live and Kickin' in 1982, and months later Springfield heard it while driving to the General Hospital set. Released as the lead single from the platinum album Living in Oz, it peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance in 1984.
