Ain't Nobody
Written by Rufus keyboardist David "Hawk" Wolinski around a repeating synthesizer loop, "Ain't Nobody" reached number one on the US Billboard R&B chart and won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal at the 26th Annual Grammy Awards in 1984. Wolinski threatened to give the song to Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones for the Thriller album if Warner Bros. did not release it as the lead single from Stompin' at the Savoy.
