Written by Lisa Stansfield, Ian Devaney, and Andy Morris, "All Around the World" was released in 1989 as the second single from Stansfield's debut album Affection and was produced by Devaney and Morris. The song became Stansfield's first UK number-one single and peaked at number three on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Cash Box Top 100, with the songwriters receiving the 1989 Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.
