Written by Sheryl Crow, David Baerwald, Bill Bottrell, and Kevin Gilbert with lyrics adapted from Wyn Cooper's 1987 poem "Fun," this breakthrough hit from Crow's 1993 debut album Tuesday Night Music Club peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks. It won the 1995 Grammy for Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, and topped the charts in Australia and Canada.
