Athlete

Athlete formed in Deptford, London in 1999, creating indie rock with electronic influences and anthemic melodies. The band's albums "Vehicles & Animals" (2003) and "Tourist" (2005) achieved commercial success in the UK, with the latter reaching number one on the UK Albums Chart. Their sound combined guitar-driven rock with atmospheric synthesizers and introspective lyrics. The band released several albums throughout the 2000s before going on hiatus in 2013.
