Atlanta Rhythm Section

2 videos the 70s

Atlanta Rhythm Section formed in Doraville, Georgia in 1970, evolving from the remnants of Roy Orbison's backing band and the studio group Candymen. The Southern rock group, featuring vocalist Ronnie Hammond and guitarist Barry Bailey, achieved their greatest success with the smooth rock hits "So Into You" and "Imaginary Lover" from their late-1970s albums. Recording at Studio One in Doraville, they developed a more polished sound than many of their Southern rock contemporaries.
