Baccara

Baccara was a Spanish female vocal duo formed in 1977 by María Mendiola and Mayte Mateos, two flamenco dancers who met while performing on the island of Fuerteventura. Their debut single "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie" became one of the best-selling singles by a female group, topping charts across Europe. The duo specialized in disco and Euro-disco, releasing their debut album "Baccara" in 1977, which also featured the hit "Sorry, I'm a Lady."
