Con Funk Shun

Con Funk Shun formed in Vallejo, California in 1969, originally as Project Soul while the members were still in high school. The seven-piece band specialized in a smooth blend of funk, soul, and R&B, releasing eleven studio albums between 1976 and 1986 on Mercury Records. Their consistent groove-oriented sound produced hits like "Ffun" and "Chase Me," earning them a dedicated following in the funk and soul community throughout the late 1970s and 1980s.
