David Gray
David Gray spent much of the 1990s as a struggling folk singer in London before his fifth album "White Ladder" became a sleeper hit in 1998. Initially released on his own label, the album's blend of electronic elements with acoustic folk caught on gradually, with "Babylon" becoming an international hit. The album's eventual mainstream success in 2000-2001 made it one of the best-selling albums in UK chart history.
