Death Cab for Cutie
Death Cab for Cutie formed in Bellingham, Washington in 1997, led by singer-songwriter Ben Gibbard with an indie rock and alternative sound. The band built a dedicated following through their early albums before signing with a major label for "Plans" (2005), which brought them wider recognition. Their thoughtful, melodic approach to indie rock featured introspective lyrics and layered instrumentation. The band continued releasing well-received albums throughout the 2000s and beyond, maintaining critical and commercial success.
