6 videos the 90s

Heavy D & The Boyz formed in Mount Vernon, New York in the late 1980s, with Heavy D (Dwight Arrington Myers) as frontman alongside dancers G-Wiz and Trouble T-Roy, and DJ Eddie F. The group brought a lighter, more accessible approach to hip-hop, incorporating R&B and reggae influences into their sound. Their albums "Big Tyme" (1989), "Peaceful Journey" (1991), and "Blue Funk" (1992) achieved commercial success throughout the early 1990s. Heavy D also became the first rapper to perform at the Super Bowl and later worked as a record executive.
