The High School Musical Cast recorded "Scream" for High School Musical 3: Senior Year, released in 2008 as the franchise's theatrical film debut. Zac Efron performed his own vocals for this installment after his singing voice had been partially dubbed in earlier films. The soundtrack album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart.
