Known as the "Godfather of Soul," this singer placed numerous singles at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B charts across four decades. His videos include "I Got You (I Feel Good)," "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag," and "The Payback," and he was one of the first ten inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.
