Lloyd Cole

Lloyd Cole launched his solo career in 1990 after relocating to New York City, shifting toward a more polished, American pop-rock sound. His self-titled debut solo album featured the single "No Blue Skies," and he continued releasing albums throughout the 1990s including Don't Get Weird on Me Babe (1991) and Love Story (1995). Cole's solo work maintained his gift for intelligent lyrics while embracing a fuller, more produced sound than his earlier work with the Commotions.
