Mel & Kim

Mel & Kim were a British pop duo consisting of sisters Melanie and Kim Appleby from London. Working with producers Stock Aitken Waterman, they achieved major success in 1987 with hits including "Respectable" and "F.L.M." Their career was tragically cut short when Melanie died of cancer in 1990 at age 23.
