OMD
OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark) formed in Wirral, England in 1978, with Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys creating an electronic pop sound built around synthesizers and drum machines. The band achieved major success in the early 1980s with their third album Architecture & Morality, which spawned hits including "Enola Gay," "Souvenir," and "Maid of Orleans." Their blend of melodic synth-pop with experimental electronic textures made them one of Britain's most successful new wave acts.
