Parliament

2 videos the 70s

Parliament emerged from George Clinton's doo-wop group The Parliaments in the late 1960s, transforming into a funk ensemble by the 1970s. The band created elaborate concept albums blending funk, rock, and soul, with "Mothership Connection" and "Funkentelechy vs. the Placebo Syndrome" exploring sci-fi and Afrofuturist themes. Parliament's dense, horn-driven funk and extended jams made them central figures in the P-Funk movement alongside their sister group Funkadelic.
