Pras Michel, a founding member of the Fugees alongside Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill, launched his solo career after the group's massive success in the mid-1990s. His debut solo album "Ghetto Supastar" was released in 1998, featuring the title track that sampled Dolly Parton's "Islands in the Stream" and became a major international hit. The song featured Mýa and Ol' Dirty Bastard, showcasing Pras's ability to blend hip-hop with pop sensibilities.
