Slowdive

Slowdive formed in Reading in 1989 and became one of the defining bands of the shoegaze movement alongside My Bloody Valentine and Ride. Their albums Souvlaki and Just for a Day layered ethereal vocals over walls of guitar effects, and tracks like "When the Sun Hits" and "Alison" have gained a devoted following decades after their initial release.
