Smash Mouth

Smash Mouth formed in San Jose, California in 1994, playing a retro-influenced style that mixed ska, punk, and pop rock. Their 1997 debut "Fush Yu Mang" introduced their playful sound, while 1999's "Astro Lounge" brought them mainstream success. The band's music incorporated 1960s pop influences and became particularly recognizable through soundtrack placements that introduced their songs to broad audiences.
