Soul Survivors

Philadelphia-based Soul Survivors helped establish the City of Brotherly Love's distinctive soul sound during the late 1960s. Their 1967 hit "Expressway To Your Heart" featured the lush orchestration and smooth vocals that would later characterize the Philadelphia International sound.
