Spandau Ballet
London New Romantic pioneers who emerged from the Blitz nightclub scene in 1979, blending synthesizers with funk and soul influences. "True" became one of the defining ballads of the 1980s, while "Gold" and "Through the Barricades" cemented their status as one of Britain's biggest pop acts of the decade. All songs were written by guitarist Gary Kemp, whose compositions earned the band ten UK top-10 hits between 1980 and 1986.
