Spoon

Spoon formed in Austin, Texas in 1993, led by songwriter Britt Daniel and drummer Jim Eno. After a difficult experience with a major label, the band built their reputation independently through the late '90s and early 2000s. Their 2002 album Kill the Moonlight marked a creative breakthrough with its minimalist production approach, and "The Way We Get By" showcased their economical, groove-oriented indie rock style.
