Stereo MC's formed in London in the late 1980s, blending hip-hop, dance, and electronic music with live instrumentation. The group, centered around Rob Birch and DJ Cesare, released their breakthrough album "Connected" in 1992. The title track became a major hit and earned them multiple BRIT Award nominations, establishing them as key figures in British dance music.
