The Animals

Formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1962, the band achieved a transatlantic number-one hit with "The House of the Rising Sun" and continued with hits including "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." Their original lineup was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
