The Knife

The Knife was a Swedish electronic duo formed in Gothenburg in 1999 by siblings Karin and Olof Dreijer. Their 2003 album "Deep Cuts" included the song "Heartbeats," which gained wider attention after José González recorded a folk cover version. The duo combined experimental electronic production with dark synth-pop melodies before disbanding in 2014 after their politically-charged album "Shaking the Habitual."
