Thompson Twins
Formed in Chesterfield, England in 1977, Thompson Twins evolved from a seven-piece post-punk group into a streamlined synth-pop trio of Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie, and Joe Leeway. Their 1984 album Into the Gap produced the hits "Hold Me Now" and "Doctor! Doctor!", reaching the top five in both the UK and US. The group disbanded in 1993 after six studio albums.
