Thunderclap Newman

1 video the 60s

Thunderclap Newman was a short-lived British rock group formed in 1969 by The Who's Pete Townshend, who also produced their recordings. The band featured teenage guitarist Jimmy McCulloch, singer-songwriter John "Speedy" Keen, and pianist Andy Newman. Their single "Something in the Air" reached number one in the UK and became an anthem of the counterculture movement, though the group disbanded in 1971 after limited commercial follow-up.
