Band On The Run

Written by Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney for Wings' 1973 album Band on the Run, this 5:09 medley of three distinct musical passages topped the US charts and sold over a million copies in 1974. The original demos were stolen shortly after Wings arrived in Lagos, Nigeria, forcing the trio of Paul McCartney, Linda McCartney, and Denny Laine to re-record the track at EMI's Lagos studio before completing it at AIR Studios in London.
