Written by Michael Jackson for his Thriller album, "Beat It" features a guitar solo by Eddie Van Halen and was produced by Quincy Jones. The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks and won Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Rock Vocal Performance, Male in 1984. With worldwide sales exceeding 10 million copies, it became one of the best-selling songs of all time.
