Been Caught Stealing
Released in November 1990 as the third single from Jane's Addiction's second album Ritual de lo Habitual, this track written by Eric Avery, Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, and Stephen Perkins spent four weeks at number one on the US Billboard Modern Rock chart. The music video, directed by Rev. Casey Niccoli, humorously depicts people shoplifting at a grocery store in Venice, California, and features dog barks from singer Perry Farrell's shelter dog Annie, which Rolling Stone called "the best use of dog barks since Pet Sounds."
