Biggie
The Notorious B.I.G., born Christopher George Latore Wallace, became the first artist to sign with Sean Combs's Bad Boy Records in 1993 and is widely considered one of the greatest rappers of all time. His 1994 debut album Ready to Die made him the central figure of East Coast hip-hop. After his murder in March 1997, his double album Life After Death was released two weeks later, debuting atop the Billboard 200 with the number-one singles 'Hypnotize' and 'Mo Money Mo Problems.'
