Black Steel
Tricky's cover reimagines Public Enemy's 1988 hip hop track, originally written by Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Eric Sadler, and Hank Shocklee. The original song tells the story of a conscientious objector making a prison escape and is built on a high-pitched piano sample from Isaac Hayes' "Hyperbolicsyllabicsesquedalymistic" from Hot Buttered Soul.
