Written by Michael Jackson and Teddy Riley, this song was created in time for the 1991 Dangerous album but was worked on further for its 1997 release as the first single from Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix. The song reached number one in Denmark, New Zealand, Spain and the United Kingdom, and peaked at number 42 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The music video, which premiered on Top of the Pops, centers on a woman named Susie seducing Jackson in a courtship dance before opening a switchblade.
