Written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance, "I'm Ready" first appeared in 1979 on Ian Lloyd's album Goose Bumps and was recorded by Adams himself for his 1983 album Cuts Like a Knife. This hit version comes from his 1997 album Unplugged, re-arranged as an acoustic ballad with string orchestrations by Michael Kamen.
