Written by Iggy Pop and David Bowie in 1976, first appearing on Pop's The Idiot album before Bowie re-recorded it for Let's Dance. The song was inspired by Iggy Pop's brief affair with Kuelan Nguyen, a Vietnamese woman, and was written during sessions at the Château d'Hérouville in France.
