Written by Janet Jackson, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and René Elizondo Jr. for The Velvet Rope album, this track was inspired by Jackson losing a friend to AIDS. The original video, directed by Seb Janiak, shows Jackson and dancers in a futuristic African setting with elephants, giraffes, and wildcats.
