Written by Ian Curtis, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris, and Bernard Sumner, this post-punk track from Joy Division's 1979 debut Unknown Pleasures drew lyrical inspiration from a young woman experiencing a violent epileptic seizure. An extended version recorded at Strawberry Studios in March 1980 became one of the band's last studio recordings before Curtis's suicide in May 1980.
