"Creep" was written and produced by Dallas Austin for TLC's second studio album, CrazySexyCool (1994), based on member Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins's experience with infidelity. The song became the group's first number one on the United States Billboard Hot 100, topping the chart for four consecutive weeks, and won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
