Cloudbusting

Inspired by Peter Reich's 1973 memoir A Book of Dreams, Bush wrote this song about psychiatrist Wilhelm Reich and his son Peter, who built a "cloudbuster" rain-making machine on their farm Orgonon. Released in October 1985 as the second single from Hounds of Love, it peaked at No. 20 in the UK. Bush performed the song live for the first time in her 2014 residency Before the Dawn, where it served as the closing encore.
