Written by Joyce Sims and produced by Kurtis Mantronik, this 1987 single from her debut album became her most successful song, peaking at number seven on the UK Singles Chart and number ten on the US Billboard R&B chart. The track also reached the top 10 in Belgium, West Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, and German magazine Spex included it in their "The Best Singles of the Century" list in 1999.
