The Concert in Central Park
Simon & Garfunkel
Central Park, New York City
An estimated 500,000 people packed Central Park's Great Lawn on a September evening in 1981 to see Simon & Garfunkel reunite, more than a decade after their split. Their run through "The Sound of Silence," "Mrs. Robinson," "The Boxer" and "Bridge over Troubled Water" became one of the most cherished live albums of the era.
