"Dashboard" is the second track from Modest Mouse's 2007 album We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, peaking at #5 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart and #61 on the Hot 100. The lyric "The dashboard melted but we still have the radio" references the film Planes, Trains and Automobiles when Del (John Candy) describes the burned car to a police officer. Rolling Stone ranked it #87 on their list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007.
