Dead End Street
Written by Ray Davies, "Dead End Street" was a 1966 non-album single by The Kinks that addressed the poverty and misery of England's lower classes. The song drew on British Music Hall, while its bass playing was partly inspired by the twangy sound of Duane Eddy's guitar.
