Floria Sigismondi
Floria Sigismondi, a Canadian-Italian director and photographer, built a distinctive body of work in the 1990s and 2000s characterized by distorted imagery, baroque costuming, and darkly surreal environments. Her collaboration with Marilyn Manson on "The Beautiful People" (1996) established her visual vocabulary of body horror and gothic theatricality. She went on to direct for The White Stripes, Muse, Interpol, and Incubus, eventually moving into feature films including The Runaways (2010).
