Lasse Hallström
Lasse Hallström directed all of ABBA's music videos throughout the 1970s, creating the visual language for hits like "Dancing Queen," "Mamma Mia," and "The Winner Takes It All." Working exclusively with the Swedish supergroup, he developed their staged, performance-based aesthetic that mixed theatrical lighting with simple narrative elements. Hallström later transitioned successfully to feature filmmaking, moving away from music videos after his work with ABBA concluded.
