Released in November 1974 from the album of the same name, this funk track hit No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Soul Singles chart in early 1975. Written by Billy Beck, Leroy Bonner, Marshall Jones, Ralph "Pee Wee" Middlebrooks, Marvin "Merv" Pierce, Clarence Satchell, and James "Diamond" Williams, it peaked at No. 10 on the disco/dance chart and is considered the band's signature song alongside "Love Rollercoaster".
