Hard Habit To Break
Written by Steve Kipner and John Lewis Parker and produced by David Foster, this second single from Chicago's 1984 album Chicago 17 reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, held from higher positions by Billy Ocean's "Caribbean Queen" and Stevie Wonder's "I Just Called to Say I Love You." Bill Champlin and Peter Cetera shared lead vocals on the track, which Foster later called "the most perfect record, or close to perfect, that I produced" in a 2024 interview.
