Originally recorded in 1983 for the A Night in Heaven soundtrack, this power ballad written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in June 1985. The song was heavily influenced by Journey's "Faithfully" and was written while Adams opened for Journey's Frontiers Tour, featuring their drummer Steve Smith. It became Adams' first number one single and placed number 24 on Billboard's Top Pop Singles of 1985.
