Written by David Coverdale and Bernie Marsden, this song originally appeared on the 1982 album Saints & Sinners before being re-recorded for Whitesnake's 1987 self-titled album. The re-recording became the band's only number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100, spending one week at the top. In 2018, the song received BMI's 5 Million Performances Award, later earning the 9 Million-Air Award in 2024.
